Valerie Jacob
&
are getting
married...again!
WE ARE GETTING MARRIED :D
Our Story
HOW WE MET
Jacob and Valerie were within the same friend group for about 8 years before even speaking with each other. One day at their friends’ house, they were incidentally at the table alone together. They clicked immediately! They were talking about their favorite video games. Plus, Jacob kept making Valerie laugh so hard she couldn’t breathe (he still does today)! After that night, Jacob and Valerie texted every day and looked forward to their next meeting.
WHEN WE KNEW
Jacob and Valerie knew about a month into dating and confessed their love for each other after only a month and a half! Valerie knew when she was experiencing feelings she had never had about anyone about Jacob—pure joy and comfort. Jacob knew when she left his house one day and thought, "I can’t live without her."
THE PROPOSAL
Jacob surprised Valerie with a luxurious dinner at NYY Steak (Valerie is a Yankees fan). He then brought her to a special place—the boardwalk at Hollywood Beach—where they went after their love confessions at Mizner Park. Jacob led Valerie onto the beach, pointing out a light in the sand. There were two lights shining on an elegant sign that read “love.” Jacob sweetly stated, "Oh, well I guess it is love that brought us to this point," and then began his heartfelt speech to Valerie. At the end of his speech, he pulled out the stunning sapphire and diamond ring they designed together, knelt down, and asked Valerie to marry her. She said yes! They hugged and cried happily together.
Thank you to Jacob’s older brother Daniel for being a great cameraman!
A DAY IN OUR LIFE
Jacob and Valerie are very busy with different schedules, but do everything with each other in mind—they text and call when they can, always keep each other updated, and spend time together in-person at every chance. Jacob runs his own business and employees detailing yachts along the Space and Treasure Coasts and family life. Valerie balances contract work, graduate commitments, and family life. They are always there for each other in every way, whether life is stressful or easygoing. And of course, they say, "I love you!" many times a day!
PASTTIMES AND PETS
Jacob and Valerie love and prefer to do everything together. They enjoy nights in, watching TV or anime, attending anime conventions, playing video games, cuddling, fishing, working on their cars, going on adventures, playing ping pong together, building and crafting, making art, and hanging out with friends together.
Jacob and Valerie currently house 4 lively Labradoodles: ChiChi and Bella (15 years old) and Leo and Lily (1 year old). They also have 4 turtles: Dakota, Peak, Rocky, and Map.

Virginia Robbins
Mother of the Bride
Ginny was born in New Rochelle New York and lived there until she was 25 years old. She then moved to Florida and has been there ever since, 35 years. She was a teacher in Pembroke Pines and Hollywood Florida. She was a stay-at-home mom for a few years and was a substitute teacher at the same time. She now owns, C2S Engineering. She enjoys water sports, land sports, gazing at the ocean, lake, palm trees, and lounging around the pool when she has time. She loves playing and cuddling with her dogs, Chichi and Bella. She enjoys her energy work and meditation, which reduces stress and keeps her balanced. Ginny enjoys watching funny movies and sitcoms and reclining on her comfortable sofas. She loves spending quality time with her daughter Valerie, she enjoys physical activity, crafting, and watching movies with her. She loves doing the same with Valerie and Jacob together. Ginny is very grateful for all the above and
thanks God every day for it.
Charlie Robbins
Late Father of the Bride
Charles John Robbins was born June 11th, 1965 and passed away November 22nd, 2016. He was born in Porchester, NY, and grew up in New Rochelle with his three brothers and one sister. He started his college career at Manhattan College and earned his Masters Degree in Engineering at Texas A&M University. Charlie became an expert in the field of Civil and Transportation Engineering with many accomplishments and awards. For example, he was the consultant project manager for launching Florida's first multi-modal congestion pricing project, 95 Express. He drafted the project’s standard operating procedure, developed software, established incident management protocols, and everything in between.
In 2011, he started his own business C2SEngineering (Concepts to Success Engineering). In November 2017, Charlie was awarded the ITS South Florida President's Award and made the ITS Honor Roll, which are two of the highest awards for Florida ITS.
He loved playing softball with his daughter and coaching her high school team. He was the biggest hugger, he danced in the living room, sang tunelessly along with the radio (unfortunately tone deaf- though it never bothered him) and he faced every day with a Goofy Smile and a Happy Disposition. He still loved to visit Disney World, particularly Magic Kingdom, with his family.
Charles was a kind soul; his two dogs Chichi and Bella are a testament to his love of animals. He was a Football fan, always rooting for the Giants. He golfed whenever and wherever he had the chance--Florida or New York. No matter what, he would talk smack because he was competitive with sports.
Eli Roth
Younger Brother of the Groom
"Hi my name is Eli Roth and I have been training in mixed martial arts for 7 years and I am a brown belt, my favorite thing to do is work out and do martial arts and I actually used to play baseball but I quit baseball to focus on my career of martial arts."
Kristy Roth
Mother of the Groom
"I was born and raised in Memphis, TN, but I've had the pleasure of living in sunny South Florida since 1993 where I have had the ultimate joy of raising three wonderful boys, Daniel, Jacob and Eli. When I'm not busy homeschooling the youngest, you will likely find me in the dojo teaching Tae Kwon Do and mixed martial arts or out on the diamond coaching youth baseball. I also enjoy playing softball myself, and any other free time I find will be spent sewing, taking care of my three goldfish and koi ponds or working in my butterfly garden. I am so excited to see Jacob and Valerie taking their journey through life together; it is one of the great gifts of my life."
Marc Roth
Father of the Groom
"I was born in Manhattan, New York. I lived in New Jersey for my first 6 years and then to Florida where I have been since.
In 1989, I graduated Art School with a degree in Advertising Design and remained in the field ever since.
Proud father of three wonderful children."
Daniel Roth
Older Brother of the Groom
